Among his credits, Ayouch is best known for co-writing and directing the 2000 Moroccan drama/crime film 'Ali Zaoua, prince de la rue' ('Ali Zaoua: Prince of the Streets').
The film tells of children who live on the streets of Casablanca. Leaving their gang, this prompts retribution from their leader Dib (Saïd Taghmaoui).
Early in the film and almost accidentally, Ali is killed by the members of the gang. After this, the rest of the children attempt to give their friend a funeral fit for royalty.
Later that same year, 'Ali Zaoua' was awarded in the 2000 Stockholm Film Festival, Montreal World Film Festival and also in the 2000 Amiens International Film Festival.
Ayouch has been active from 1992–present.
