And so, the 77th Venice Film Festival comes to a close.
The 2020 Italian drama/romance film 'Lacci' ('The Ties') was selected as the opening feature.
Directed by Italian film director, screenwriter and actor Daniele Luchetti, this was the first Italian film in eleven years to open the festival.
However, the Golden Lion was awarded to the 2020 American drama film 'Nomadland'.
Starring Francis McDormand, the film had been written, co-produced and directed by Chinese film director, screenwriter, and producer Chloé Zhao.
